Essential Covid Update - November 2020

Following the Government announcement on Saturday 31st October regarding a new lockdown starting from midnight from 5th November, I wanted to outline how we will be there to help keep the county moving while working within the guidance laid out by UK Government.


I can confirm we will be fully open as normal until 6pm on Wednesday the 4th November 2020. From the morning of Thursday 5th November, our Service, Bodyshop and Parts departments will operate as normal as they have been for many months in a COVID safe manner.   


Our vehicle showrooms will not be open to the public from 5th November until further notice. However, our sales teams will be available to continue vehicle sales remotely and we will be able to support your needs via both video calls and telephone, almost as well as if you were with us.  


Customers can still collect a car or motorcycle which has been purchased either online or via the telephone directly from our dealerships, although the handover will need to be conducted outside of the showroom so please dress for the weather. All our vehicle handovers will take place in a designated handover area outside the showroom with full social distancing guidelines in place to ensure the safety of both our customers and our team members. Home delivery will also be available with every vehicle delivered in a COVID safe manner. 


Please be assured that our Sales & Aftersales teams remain on hand to assist you with your sales and aftersales enquiries via telephone, email or live chat and our websites are fully up to date with the ability to browse and then reserve a vehicle on-line. In addition, you can now easily book a Service or MOT on-line, however, remember we are here and ready to help, so please do pick up the phone and speak to a member of our team as our phone lines remain open as normal throughout.


Based on customer feedback and demand during the previous lockdown, our aftersales departments will remain fully operational for servicing, MOT and repairs. Our Service reception areas follow all the latest government guidance meaning that from the moment you arrive with us we put your safety first, with social distancing measures in place, protective screens at our service desks as well as cashless payments and plenty of hand sanitizer to keep you and our team safe. We continue to offer ‘service while you wait’ appointments with the option of a vehicle collection and delivery*, should you prefer to stay at home. If you are visiting our retail centre, please remember face masks remain a mandatory requirement.


To be clear we are open for business and keen to do our bit to keep the economy moving, which we can achieve together through your continued support, while at the same time keeping everyone safe and reducing the risk of infection by operating in a COVID Safe environment.
